Default Linux bootloader?

WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com
I want to install Linux (preferably Ubuntu (more preferably Edgy)) on my BlackJack, hopefully on the MicroSD card. I searched for a guide of some sort on google and the best I came up with was this. It's how to install Linux on the HTC-Apache, but I bet I can do it on my BlackJack. The problem is that the bootloader files aren't up anymore. Does anyone have these? Or even better: does anyone have a better way to install Linux on the BlackJack? I have a 1GB MicroSD card (which I will upgrade soon, lol).

And also, the guide above involves using the Terminal. Just curious, does anyone know what OS to do it on? I have Ubuntu Edgy and Mac OS X on my MacBook. I also have Windows XP on my desktop (for games) ... but you can't do anything special on a Windows computer. So can I do it on OS X or do I have to do it on Linux?

Well well well, seems that great minds think alike... I'm bound and determined to get nix of some flavor on my BJ 607i.

Thus far I have crashed just about every version of a linux emu that I can find within XP pro and I'm thinking about getting ahold of one the developer versions of the NEO1973 just to see how the USB writer works with the NEO and perhaps my answer will come from that purchase.... who knows...
