| WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com There are benefits to VoIP, especially cost-wise. Would you ever consider replacing your landline entirely with VoIP? As a precaution, I'd always want a good old-fashioned phone in case of an emergency. I can't predict where VoIP will go in the future, however, so I try to keep an open mind. |

| Negatives - say a storm comes and nocks the electricity out, but your computer buffs it because you have a surge protector. The computer going into it's normal ground functions restarts to protect itself and the common glitch sparks, an open connection call is made randomly from your viop due to the electricity floating about. lol Anyways I'd consider it a pretty good deal because i've had my phone line go out and my computer still run... but the fact i don't like is phone tapping because a lot easier. Due to the fact that it's cheaper and almost instant I think when i get my own place i might be going with that.

| i would definitely give up my landline in a second, lets say a storm happens and you have a cordless phone your landline is rendered useless, a broadband connection is the only thing necessary to ensure phone calls. im so with it! |
