these are pics of the new SE P990 being shown up at the CTIA show. As of now, SE has no plans to ever release the P990 in the States.

The QWERTY keypad is pretty crappy and people who played with this phone at the SE booth are saying that the keys are way too small and not tactile enough for easy typing.

To refresh your memory on the specs, the P990 runs Symbian OS 9.1 with the UIQ 3 software platform, and has a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen display, built-in WiFi (802.11b), Bluetooth, a two megapixel camera with a "photo light", video calling, FM radio, MP3 and MPEG-4 player, and a keyboard (QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY, or Russian) underneath the flip-down keypad.

Sony Ericsson PXXXi series are the best smartphones in the world. This model proves it again! I've never had it in my hands, but somehow I doubt SE made the keybord "not tactile enough"... those are just taunting people

Yes I agree the keyboard will need work, and the flip down part of the phone looks like it could break at a moments notice.

I think it looks decent.
There are some REALLY ugly ones out there that don't even compare.

i think this is very nice... except yes those buttons are to small... maybe a womens phone? just a thought.. mens fingers are to big for teh keys.. like mine

Hmmmmmmmmm............ I do like the style. The fact it lays in the hand just right. Because my SamsungA840 gives me a hand cramp sometimes. But anyways back to the SE P990. It looks sweet to me. And yes it also reminds me of a blackberry. Bummer only sold in Europe though. Any reason to why only Europe?
