They make rugged units though. A friend had his Siemens mobile falling off from the 3rd floor balcony. The unit worked for the net two years as if nothing has happened.

At first I looked at this thread because I though they cancelled the phone because information had been linked. Now I feel stupid, because I realize that what happened was simply that someone leaked that the phone was cancelled.

Are you sure it was canceled? The link you gave only gives a discussion where someone says that it was, how do we it was actually cancelled?
