| WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com Samsung Z600 Review The Samsung Z600 was released in February 2006 with a lot of expectations riding on it. Even though it has been around for a few months now, the jury is still out on its overall effectiveness. The Samsung Z600 is one of those phones that you either love or hate. We have talked to people that think the Samsung Z600 is the best thing since sliced bread, just to turn around and find out that another group of people has had some problems with it. The fact of the matter is that when it comes to this unit the best thing to do is research it heavily, and then make a decision on if you are willing to take the risk involved with buying it. After all, if you end up liking the Samsung Z600 you will have a phone that can provide you with a lot of features and functionality. The thing that we liked best about the Samsung Z600 is that you get a lot of features for the amount of money that you pay. Unlike other offerings, the Samsung Z600 will not break your bank but will still give you everything that you have come to expect from a phone plus some. This flip phone operates on the 850/900/1800/1900/2100 Mhz bands. Upon first glance you will notice that it is nothing more than a traditional looking phone. Do not expect any special bells and whistles with the Samsung Z600; buying this phone is something that should be done if you are looking for something that provides the basic tasks plus a few extras. One of the biggest extras that you will notice is the camera that is mounted on the rear of the phone. And in addition the camera on the back, there is also a VGA camera on the front that can be used for video calling; this is a feature that we greatly enjoyed and had a hard time putting away! The Samsung Z600 has a traditional screen size, and the colors were very accurate for a phone at this price point. The Samsung Z600 has a TFT screen that utilizes 262,144 colors for optimum viewing. We found this to be very helpful during night time hours when it was a bit darker out. One of our major concerns about the Samsung Z600 is how long it will last. When you first purchase this phone you will more than likely fall in love with its easy to use features. But over time we feel that it may become worn which could in turn affect the functionality of the phone. This has been a problem with some Samsung units in the past, and there is a good chance that you may end up contending with this problem in the Samsung Z600 as well. Aside from the durability factor it appears that the Samsung Z600 is a winner. It can help you with your day to day functions without any problems at all while also giving you some add on features. If you are searching for a basic unit that is reasonably priced the Samsung Z600 should be one on your list. Pros
