Does anyone notice some of the Palm 650's come with a camera and some don't? Why is that?

AFAIK - there's only one treo 650 model and that comes with a 640x480 camera. if anyone knows of the non-camera version, then post here.

If you got to cingular's website and search for palms, you'll see what I mean.

Em.... The official model should come with a camera. From Palm website you will see this:

The camera takes 16-bit colour pictures that are at a maximum VGA resolution of 640x480 pixels (0.3 megapixels), or 320x240 pixels in QVGA resolution. Videos are 320x240 in QVGA resolution or 176x144 in QCIF resolution for CDMA smartphones and 352x288 or 176x144 for GSM smartphones.

I can't find what you are referring to at Cingular's website. Can you post the link here?

if you check the model and its no you know that some dont have cameras but nowadays cameras are cheaper so anyone inserting this into palm phones or cellphones

yea thats weird why would they sell one with a camera and one without? thats just gonna make them lose profit because people can get a normal digital camera that is way better then a camera phone

Ok so let me get this straight, they are releasing 2 of the same model phone, one with a camera, one without? if yes, thats kinda ridiculous, as Zalaki said, it will cause a loss of profit, but it will also cause a great deal of confusion

Yeah, seems like a poor move from a business standpoint. Is there going to be a significant price difference between the two versions?

When I searched for this model with and without camera to find out the prices, I was confused on finding that the treo650 with camera was $99 and without camera was $285 on ebay.com. Now we can see that there is no loss for the model but what confuses me is that the camera one is of lower price!

I think that's because the one with a camera has completely different features than the one without a camera. Yeah it could have a camera.. that could be very bad i know a lot of my friends have horrible cameras on their phones and i don't have a camera and my phone is still a lot better. I couldn't give you the specs on what exactly is better though.
