Nokia N93 Review

When Nokia released the N90 it appeared that this phone was going to be one of the best in the industry; and things worked out exactly like that. Even though the Nokia N90 was a bit on the large side, it snuck up on people upon its release and was a huge hit from one side of the world to the next.

The next in line in the N series was the Nokia N93. This time everyone was waiting to see if Nokia could outdo itself; and again it is safe to say that they have taken care of this in more ways than one.

Upon first glance it appears that the Nokia N93 is about as good as it gets. Not only does it have all of the features of its predecessor, but it also adds to it in more ways than one. To take this a step further, the Nokia N93 is also one of the most compact phones offered in this line. Nokia did a great job of packing many top notch, high quality features into a phone that is easy to handle whether you are talking on it or simply carrying it around in your purse.

The overall size of the Nokia N93 is 118.2mm x 55.5 mm x 28.2mm. It weighs in at approximately 180 grams. This makes it one of the most compact phones as far as units with this level of features are concerned.

The first thing that we noticed about the new Nokia N93 is the camera capabilities that it comes with. The 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera is among the best that you will find, and in our opinion it is about as good as it gets for a Nokia phone. In addition, the Nokia N93 comes with a 3x optical zoom so that you can get a great shot no matter where you are located. This is quite important on a camera phone today, and the Nokia N93 does not disappoint in this department.

In addition to the high quality camera, you will also have the joy of using full audio and video playback capabilities. This is nice to have when you are using your camera, or simply as a stand alone. With the camera and the video features, you can shoot high quality videos as well. To take this a step further, the Nokia N93 comes with a TV out function so that you can take your videos and display them on a larger venue. This feature is one of the most impressive on the entire phone.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the Nokia N93 also has you covered no matter where you turn. This unit offers both Infrared and Bluetooth support so that you can always get the information that you need regardless of where you are at or what the situation may be. The 802.11b/g WLAN connection makes high speed access possible.

Overall, the Nokia N93 is one of the best units that is being offered at this time. In addition to the camera features you will also be able to take advantage of connectivity in a number of different ways. Many people may be turned off initially by the size of the phone, but with so many features being included this is a necessity.

Pros

• The camera feature on the Nokia N93 is among the best in the industry. If you are interested in this area and want to buy a Nokia, the N93 is probably your best option. The 3.2 megapixels make taking clear pictures a piece of cake.
• The TV output connection is quite unique to the industry, and should be a main selling point of the Nokia N93. This feature allows you to do things with a cell phone that a lot of other units cannot.

Cons

• The main drawback of the Nokia N93 is the size. Even though it has been cut down quite a bit, it is still too bulky for some people. But with so many features this is a must.
• Being that the Nokia N93 was just released; the question of reliability is still up in the air. Only time will tell if this phone can be as durable as past N series offerings.
