| WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com Published: Wed, 17 Sep 2008 22:08:00 +0200 Not yet available for Windows Mobile smartphones, today Google launched a new version of Google Maps for Mobile with the same street-level imagery as available available on desktop. Furthermore, Google's new Maps for Mobile features walking directions (beta) which I wrote about some weeks ago and which Google recently recently launched on desktop. Last but not least, Google Maps Mobile also features to help you search for and get to businesses and locations. You can now read business reviews, so you'll know if it's actually worth driving across town to that store. Finally, Google hopes we'll notice significant improvements in search speed with this version, as well as better location accuracy in all versions thanks to this week's My Location update. <p><p> [<b><a href="http://www.theunwired.net/?item=update-street-view-and-walking-directions-come-to-google-maps-for-mobile">Permalink</a></b>] <p>(c) 2008 by <a href="http://www.theunwired.net">the::unwired</a> - All Rights Reserved <p><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~a/theunwired?a=O6beQG"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~a/theunwired?i=O6beQG" border="0"></img></a></p><div class="feedflare"> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/theunwired?a=f8Fcl"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/theunwired?i=f8Fcl" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/theunwired?a=ROP9l"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/theunwired?i=ROP9l" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/theunwired?a=YJX7L"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~f/theunwired?i=YJX7L" border="0"></img></a> </div><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~4/395511411" height="1" width="1"/> Read more... |
