| WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com Published: Mon, 26 Mar 2007 17:50:51 +0200 No, the HTC Shift is not a Windows Mobile device but a full featured UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) but it comes from HTC and even more important - it's wireless by supporting triband UMTS/HSDPA as well as quadand GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0.Â* Unlike many other UMPCs, HTC's Shift features a keyboard and sports a 7" 800 x 480 touchscreen only), 1 GB of RAM and a 30 GB HDD. Along with the touchscreen, you can navigate with a tiny Synaptics touchpad on the right-hand side of the screen where also a fingerprint reader is located. On the upper left corner of the device, the Shift features a 1.2 megapixel webcam. So far, HTC hasn't comment on the CPU or graphics chipset, but only said, that the HTC Shift will be powerful enough so run Windows Vista's Aero user interface. And yes - all this runs on Microsoft's Windows Vista Business, not Windows Mobile OS!
