| WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com i-mate JASJAM Review The i-mate JASJAM is a phone that is on the cutting edge of technology. In June of 2006 this new unit was revealed to the world, and its expected date of release is later on in 2006. Most people, like us, are hoping that the i-mate JASJAM comes to the market place sooner rather than later. It seems like in today’s day and age that manufacturers like to hold out in order to garner the most attention possible. Cross your fingers that they new i-mate JASJAM makes a fast appearance. There is one reason that the i-mate JASJAM is being anticipated by so many people from all over the globe; this phone comes with many features packed into a ultra slim and ultra light design. It is going to be like carrying a computer, camera, and phone with you all rolled into one. But remember, this is not the first time that this has been tried. But it does appear that the i-mate JASJAM has already garnered a cult like following and it was only introduced to the public a month ago. As far as features are concerned most people are looking forward to the web browsing capabilities that it is going to offer. Early reports have hinted that if connected to a network, the i-mate JASJAM is going to be one of the fastest handheld units available today. This speed is going to be backed up by Windows Mobile 5.0 as well as a 300 MHz processor. Both of these features will allow you to experience the internet from your phone without much hassle at all. And to take this one step further, you should also be aware that the i-mate JASJAM comes with a miniature slide out keyboard. This makes typing quick emails and inputting data a piece of cake. Why mess with hard to find small buttons when you can get a keyboard that will suit all of your needs? Even though the i-mate JASJAM is aiming to be tops in the field of internet speed and capability, there are some early concerns that the unit will not be able to keep up with this pace. Even though the i-mate JASJAM feels quite sturdy and is almost one inch thick, there are some people that believe that too much power is packed into such a small unit. Regardless of any drawbacks that may pop up, the i-mate JASJAM definitely deserves a look if you are in the market for a new phone. You may not want to check out the i-mate JASJAM if you just want functionality as a phone, but if you are looking for a device that can multi task this is the way to go. Not only can you answer your phone calls, but you can also do the same with your emails. The amount of features is the main thing that is going to draw thousands of buyers to the i-mate JASJAM. Pros

| I had not a good experience with IMate as i use to have the PDA2K model two years ago. I enjoy a lot these multi-use phones but it seems that we need to wait a couple of years to have reliable machines. The PDA2K use to freeze a lot, needed restarting very often and it was relatively bulky to carry around. The JASJAM looks smaller; did functionality improved? Do you think that these expensive machines have passed their trial period? I really would love to have one but I am hasty; Any advice? |
