| WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com BlackBerry 7130g Review The best feature of the original BlackBerry was its full QWERTY keyboard which made writing emails and sending text messages an easy process. It was one of the first of its kind, and this is what put the BlackBerry on the map. But if you recall, one of the problems that a lot of people had with this design was that this keyboard made the unit too bulky. This scared away a lot of people that were not looking to use the email and text messaging features a lot. Enter the BlackBerry 7130g. With the new BlackBerry 7130g, it appears that the problems with size have been worked out while still being able to give users one device that can handle both email and phone duties. One of the first things that we noticed about the BlackBerry 7130g was its good looks. Compared to units of past years, the BlackBerry 7130g is definitely more visually appealing. It is finished in black and silver which gives it a stylish and durable look. There may be other units out there that look better than the BlackBerry 7130g, but it is definitely making some ground in this department. The dimensions of the BlackBerry 7130g are 56 x 114.5 x 18.4mm (WxLxD). This may not seem much smaller than BlackBerry’s of the past, but when you hold it in your hand and go through the day to day functions with it you will immediately notice the changes. In addition, the BlackBerry 7130g feels perfectly natural when held up to the ear for a phone conversation. This was a huge problem in the past, but one that has been rectified for the most part. Even though there are some inherent problems that go along with the BlackBerry 7130g email system, such as time stamping, it is still one of the best in the industry. The great thing is that with the BlackBerry 7130g you can forward any email account to your unit. This means that you never have to worry about logging directly into your account. This was particularly useful for us when we were away from the office and trying to still get our message. With the BlackBerry 7130g you can call in for your voice messages and check your email all within a matter of minutes. While the screen on the BlackBerry 7130g is not the best, we found it to be adequate for what we wanted it to do. At 2.4 inches the screen is big enough so that you can see what you are doing, and the 240 x 260 resolution makes it easy to read whatever you decide to pull up. One problem with the BlackBerry 7130g is that it does not have a camera. Not that this is expected, but with the high quality of which pictures appear on the BlackBerry 7130g it only seems natural to work a camera into the unit; maybe the next model! The BlackBerry 7130g can do it all when it comes to communication. Its features are top notch, and the email system one of the best in the industry. Pros
